1. • IMC has released a set of applications as shareware. These apps now include an opening window giving the user an option to register the software for a small fee. We are doing this for several reasons... #1 to gauge usage/interest. #2 to help direct some of our development efforts and #3 We can always use the money. #4 The prompter app, especially, is “competing” against software that costs non trivial amounts of money, it is just kind of silly to always give something like that away.

  2. • The shareware apps will not be crippled if you do not choose to pay. There are a couple modes of the prompter that only work with larger systems, so those are not supported under a shareware license.
